Bus System

The public transport system of Sault Ste. Marie offers 7 bus routes that cover most of the urban area of the city.

The basic fare is $3.25 per trip. This payment must be made in cash and with the exact amount since drivers do not have money to give change.

For ease and economy of users, there are multi-trip passes that can be purchased at the bus terminal and at the city’s transit office.

Bus routes run every 30 minutes on weekdays and hours. On weekdays after 6:30 pm and weekends they run every hour.

There is also a Parabus service for people with some type of disability. This is an on-demand service and has the same rates as the standard service.

It is important to note that most institutional holidays, the public transportation system as well as the vast majority of government offices and services do not operate.
